Mia and I debuted Hunter, Gatherer, Purveyor at the Alberta Biennial last week! Here are some pics of our work and how it was installed in the gallery. The installation itself included our mobile popsicle (tea) stand (that we use out in the field), some vegetation we collected in Edmonton, a large photo of us collecting, and a short "essay" with tea recipes that people could take away from the gallery.
We also served three different teas in the lobby throughout the opening. The were: high bush cranberry and rose hip for the river valley, clover flower and juniper for the community of Glenora, and mixed apple and horse radish for the neighbourhood of McCauley.
Thanks to Curator Nancy Tousley and the staff at the Alberta Art Gallery!
